Inspired by a jersey viewed by many as the greatest to ever grace a football field. The exquisite 1988 Netherlands home shirt, worn by many a Dutch legend, none more so than Van Basten, Gullit and Rijkaard (the Dutch Trinity) It is also part-homage to Marco Van Basten himself (MVB) whose sublime volley from an impossible angle helped his team secure a Euro 88 Final victory over the Soviet Union. 

Our version sees the original geometric fade pattern reimagined into an oversize lion's head to the front, and an abstract tulip field on the back. We love a collared footy shirt so we added one inspired by another classic from 1996. Finished off with a nod to MVB on the back neck to complete the design.
